my transformers birthday bash

i do realize that having a transformers themed birthday party at the not-so-young age of 34 may seem ridiculous to some, but when anna and i came up with the idea, we didn't much care about that. we went straight out and bought transformers invitations, plates, cups, and napkins. we invited a few people over for pizza, rootbeer, and transformer-colored cupcakes while we watched the first transformers. then, we headed over to the movie theater, where we met some other friends, for the second transformers movie. we hit macaroni grill to top off the night. it was a killer party!

the farmer's market

anna and i went to the farmer's market to get some fruits and veggies. i was expecting a local farmer's market like others that i have been to...small lean-to made of wood with some small tables set up. no. it was a massive gated area with huge warehouses filled with trucks (literally)full of peaches and watermellons, squash and corn. we have found heaven on earth. here's some pics of what we got for about 20 bucks. sweet!

the daddy duck goes quack quack quack

i was doing dishes this morning and looked out of my kitchen window to see this family of geese taking a little stroll down stream from the pond in our backyard. so south carolina!

for those who requested a picture of me

this is the only pic i have of me in DC. i'll try to be more pro-active about taking pics with me in them. for now...

mommy...i'm hungry!

here i go, binge blogging again. but, kind of a lot has happened this last week. not the least of which was my second trip in two weeks up to DC to see the poelmans. i can't help it. i love them too much to stay away. during my trip, i was privlidged enough to witness the little man eating his third solid meal. he caught on really quickly. it's the cutest thing ever.

let the good times roll

this is just a taste of maddog's incredibly loveable personality. he was spending some alone time in his crib watching his mobile, and alexis and i went over to play with him for a bit. he thought alexis' "boo's" were the funniest thing he'd ever seen. seriously, i can't get enough of that smile or that laugh!

something to remind me of me
